Important message about the game's development and future
Hey everyone, how are you doing?
I know I’ve been really inactive these past few months, and honestly, the responsibility is entirely mine. I wanted to take a moment to explain everything that happened with the development of Echoes of the Forgotten.
Throughout this time, I didn’t share much information (aside from what I mentioned to a Patreon member who stayed subscribed), mainly because my plan was to have a solid and well-developed base before showing any real progress. While my team worked on their part (improving renders), I focused on the interface, images, and various elements of the story to make everything look as polished as possible.
However, over time, several issues came up. The team was tasked with visually improving all the game’s images (over 700), and while they should have been done by now, the reality was different: we faced delays, incomplete deliveries, time constraints, and renders with errors. On top of that, I didn’t follow up as I should have — I wasn’t consistent in asking for progress updates or screenshots that showed how things were moving forward.
On my end, I also got too focused on my own tasks, which, combined with my real-life responsibilities, made things even more difficult. These past months weren’t the best for me either — I went through some emotional lows and was job hunting, which meant I had far less time and energy to dedicate to the project.
That said, I want to make it clear that the responsibility still lies with me. Everyone on the team also has lives outside of this, and for different reasons, they couldn’t keep up or fix certain mistakes. But as the person leading the project, it was my job to manage, supervise, and keep everything on track — and I didn’t do that properly.
All of this kept building up to the point where I felt I had completely lost control of the project. And to be honest, it burned me out. Maybe I was too ambitious, trying to make everything “perfect” on the first try, which now I realize was an unrealistic expectation for someone creating their first game.
Fixing everything that’s missing would take a huge amount of time, and honestly, I don’t know if I’m in the right place to commit to that. I’m not looking for excuses — that’s why, after a lot of thinking, I’ve decided to put the project on indefinite hold and shift my focus to other things for now.
I have so much love for Le tengo un cariño enorme a Echoes of the Forgotten. I really liked what I had written, the character designs, and the story I was trying to tell. But the truth is, this project ended up draining me. Seeing how much still needs fixing just made me stop enjoying it altogether. And that’s why I don’t want to give anyone false hope by saying “maybe one day I’ll come back to it,” because right now, I just can’t promise that.
Maybe I went on for a bit too long, but I wanted to be transparent. I felt I owed you all a sincere explanation.
Before closing this chapter, I’d like to share with you some of the work we managed to get done, as well as a few ideas that were in development. I don’t know if this is just a way to show that we really were working on something, but I feel it’s the right thing to do.
🖼️ Render Improvements:
🗺️ Sandbox:
As I mentioned, the game was going to feature a sandbox-style world where you could interact freely. At this point, only a few rooms in the house and some locations you could visit with the animatronics were implemented. Here are a few examples (morning version only, without time-of-day variations):
🧭 Map Interface:
This interface allowed you to skip time, check character stats, track missions, see the map, and access the character cards. Here’s an example of what it looked like:
💬 Character Interface:
Each girl’s card featured an animation that would change when you interacted with it. Here’s an example:
💗 Character Info and Progress:
Each card included a short bio for the character, the missions to progress their story, and stats for affection and lust. So far, I only have a Spanish version to show, but here’s a sample:
🔓 Erotic Gallery:
From the character interface, players could access a gallery featuring the erotic scenes they had unlocked:
Laptop Interface:
From the laptop, players could work, buy outfits or gifts for the girls, and access a pin-up gallery showing the different outfit versions of the characters you had photographed. You could also change the desktop background to one of these unlocked images.
With all that shared, and nothing more to add, thank you so much to everyone who supported the project from the very beginning. I truly appreciate all the encouragement and patience you’ve given me during this time. I’m sorry things turned out this way, and I hope we meet again in the future.

Sorry, I didn't realize Google translates things when I upload them. I guess it was because I used the translator while checking everything was okay.
